Environmental Geochemistry and Geomicrobiology

About the group

Our research focuses on the characterization of mineral-water-organic matter reactions in surface and subsurface environments. By combining the techniques of microbiology and molecular biology with physical, chemical and modelling approaches, we are identifying the role that microorganisms play in key environmental processes.

The Geomicrobiology Group also maintains a separate website here.

The British Organic Geochemistry Society 2010 conference is being held at the University of Manchester in July. Please see the separate website here.
