What is a taught course?
Our postgraduate taught courses consist of one full year (12 months) study, beginning in mid-September. The taught element of each course is delivered in the first two semesters, and assessed through examination and coursework, including fieldwork. This is followed by an individual research project during which the student will work within one of our established research groups, or in collaboration with an external placement. The resulting dissertation is presented for examination at the end of the year (September). Successful students graduate in December.
